Diego Medina
Diego Medina began illustrating professionally in 1999. In the early 2000s, while living in São Paulo, he worked as an illustrator for newspapers and magazines of general circulation. Over the years he expanded his field of expertise, becoming a relevant person in the art scene, working on short films and TV commercials. Medina is also a talented musician, singer and guitarist.
Transiting through typography, illustration and design he developed his style of shapes flowing with doses of psychedelic, scatology and cartooning, presented in an unusual and ironic way. Imaginary characters in explosive colors from a provocative pop universe invite the eyes to a tour through the most creative and disturbing side of this artist’s work. Medina lives and works in Porto Alegre.
