Eduardo Recife
Born in Minas Gerais, Eduardo Recife is known for his site “Misprinted Type”, available online since 1998. Considered a reference of style, Recife uses old photographs in his collages, which lends his work an aesthetic aspect of vintage advertising, in contrast to the social criticism expressed in his compositions.
Despite using the computer as a tool, he conceives his work in an analog form and, from texture, stains and scratches, recreates the concept of time in the careful completion of his images. Typography is one of the highlights of his work, combined with other elements as well as a way of creation of his own sources. Eduardo lives and works in Belo Horizonte.
