Pablo Etchepare

Pablo Etchepare, an artist and illustrator from the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, presents in his works a very rich and peculiar universe, formed by eccentric characters and their surreal interactions.

With an original mixture of references and influences that range from comics to Salvador Dalí, along with the whole skate and surf culture, the artist also explores humor in a very original manner, with touches of sadism and irony, repeatedly questioning social and interpersonal relations. Currently he lives and works in Porto Alegre.

Paco Peregrin is a photographer and art director, currently working and living in Madrid. Internationally acclaimed for his work, the artist combines make-up, lighting, hair, costume, models and backgrounds captured in precious instants, creating images of strong visual impact and unique beauty.

The fusion of contemporary fashion trends and the artist’s personal reflections results in creations exploring futurist and often surreal concepts, using with remarkable plasticity every available tool and resource to express a latent and even exotic sensuality, present in his whole work.

Mago

Magomed Dovjenko, russian artist born in 1993, self-taught, began at an early age. He now lives in Germany, working as an illustrator, graphic designer and art director.

Almost abstract forms allied with a fluid style, gives a organic and psychedelic touch to his compositions. The use of vibrant colors and high contrast combined with a great wealth of detail, creating complex compositions gives strength and personality to his works. His irregular bold typography is another strong characteristic and present in most of his works.

Felicia Atanasiu

Born in Bucharest, Romania, Felicia Atanasiu owns a very fluid style. With a strong and colorful work, the artist combines analogic and digital techniques to creat unique compositions with a sweet feminine touch.

Despite of working with realistic scales and proportions, Felicia constantly mixes vibrant colors and melting shapes bringing a surrealistic atmosphere to her art.

Cusco Rebel

Alexandre Araujo Cravo, also known as Cusco Rebel was born in Rio Grande. Early influenced by skateboarding and street culture, the elements and references comming from this scenes are very clear in his work, creating essencially a fantastic urban universe.

Overlapping forms, colors and textures he transforms his drawings in a harmonic assimetric mosaic, filled with messages, explicit or not, where the materials the artist uses as canvas and the handcrafted frames are a living part of the whole creation.

Luciana Araujo

Graduated in Fine Arts Luciana lives and works in São Paulo. Pop culture and music are a strong reference in her universe that she develops in many medias.

We find in her work of art acid humor, nihilism, erotic subjects and subliminal images under fluorescent masks that transpose humanity and bring out the instinct of emotions, like a photographer would get the moment of a scream a joy or even rage.

Printing and drawing are as well common skills used in her work sometimes all in one. The artist contributed to many projects related to fashion and design since she created the label Rock Chick that became famous by the images and objects created and signed by her.

Raul Krebs

Raul Krebs is a photographer who lives and works in the southern Brazil. He works in various areas of advertising photography, focusing his talent on jobs which the esthetic and art direction are rich in concept and possibilities. He has participated on books and yearbooks publications, and has won several national and international awards. Also Raul Krebs has a great artistic work on which he develops a constant search for different esthetic and languages. In opposite to the advertising culture, Krebs tries to escape and explore photography as a narrative expression, almost a story-telling, leaving the street language and experimentation flashing into our eyes. Fetish, fashion, distortions, micro and macro details are present in his art, making the human figure often distorted, subverted or even mutant.

Hydro74

Hydro74, or Joshua M. Smith, is a graphic designer and illustrator. Employing typography as a key element in his works, either customizing or creating his own types, this artist has a refined vector drawing technique allied to a strong pop appeal, be it because of the icons he uses or his high-contrast color palette.

Mixing references ranging from Masonic symbols to movie characters, Joshua impresses with his care for detail and his compositions, which, however complex and highly individual, always take into consideration the harmony and balance of its elements.

Rog�rio Puhl

Natural de Chapecó, Santa Catarina, o ilustrador Rogério Puhl é dono de habilidade e técnica apurada com suas ferramentas. O artista consegue transitar entre diferentes mundos, sem perder a qualidade, nem a originalidade.

Nelson Balaban

Nelson Balaban, born in 1989, gained notoriety at an early age among the international design scene, mostly because of his illustrations, always with a strong visual appeal and adopting an unorthodox blend of creative techniques in the digital realm.

His careful approach to colors can be perceived both on the selection of vibrating tones and also in more dramatic black & white pieces, always disposing a very consciously picked and adequate palette for each occasion. Another important aspect of Balaban's work relys on avant garde typographic experimentation, executed with remarkable personality and aesthetic sense.

Flavio Samelo

Flavio Samelo began photographing skateboarders. However, the context where he was doing that brought him closer to street art. Developing his own style, he drew the attention of several magazines, where he worked as art director, editor, photographer and illustrator for skateboarding magazines here and abroad.

He studied art history where he discovered, among other references, the concrete artists of Sao Paulo from the 50's, which deeply influenced him.

He works with different techniques, mixing elements of urban photography, painting and collage compositions, sometimes geometric and symmetrical, sometimes organic and fractal. Samelo currently lives in São Paulo and has his works regularly exhibited in art galleries in several different countries.

Fleshbeckcrew

Instituted in 1999, in Rio de Janeiro, Fleshbeckcrew is a group created by former colleagues of an industrial design course who shared a passion for street art. Precise lines and vibrant colors characterize the work of the group that became a trademark of graffiti in Rio, with tags and paintings scattered all over the city. Characters influenced by Eastern art mingle with complex typographical studies which, despite being often indecipherable, have a strong visual appeal. It is from this cauldron of references that such a vigorous and contemporary work in constant exchange with the global culture arises.

Sam Werczler

Samuel was born in Sao Paulo in 1981. He began drawing as a child, inspired by comic books, but not before long did curiosity for new techniques lead him down other paths. He moved to the United States, where he graduated from the NYU (New York University). Back in Brazil, he graduated in advertising and joined the market where he worked for five years as an art director. It was when he opened his own illustration studio that he began to define the style that characterizes his work: the organic trace and fluid volumes with soft, delicate and liquid shapes. Familiar with all digital tools, the artist knows how to use them to convey his ideas.

Marcos Miller

Marcos Miller describes himself as an ordinary person who likes to draw, listen to music and fix things. Having started in the design field because of his passion for heavy metal music, it did not take him long to expand his talent beyond the dark and farfetched aesthetic that characterizes such style. Miller is a gifted illustrator, whose depictions of shape and volume are accurate. His ability to knowledgeably execute different graphic projects leads him to face each new work as a challenge.

Firmorama

Headquartered in Jaragua do Sul, the Firmorama studio might be far from big cities, but it is tuned in to everything that happens in world capitals. The studio does not imitate trends, but turns them into reference. Working through multiple disciplines, the studio holds a high standard in productions. A close-knit team ensures a strong personality to everything that they create, while focused on the real needs of clients.

Leo Teixeira

Leo Teixeira is in love with drawings and, moreover, with characters. The illustrator, who was born in Goiás, graduated in Physics, but chose illustration as his profession. He builds immaginary worlds and complex stories that develop into a constant and intense growing rhythm for his characters. Despite the great experience with digital tools, it is the pencil that defines Leo’s work, as uttered by his vivacious characters.

Paula Plim

Paula Plim began to take her work to the streets in 2003, painting murals and pasting posters. It did not take long for her work to catch the attention it deserves, especially for her female characters and intense colors. Graduated in fine arts, Paula was influenced by pop culture, expressed in her work in the choice of colors, in the compositions that often resemble advertisements, and in the reproduction of product packaging. Her work is an entertaining and ironic criticism of mass culture. Paula currently lives and works in Porto Alegre.

Alberto Cerrite�o

The Mexican artist Alberto Cerriteño lives and works in Seattle, USA. His very peculiar style, influenced by surrealism and pop art, appears in the cartoonish characters that blend with the Mexican elements, patterns and textures in his works.

His ten years of experience as an art director and designer give him a refined aesthetic sense, perceived in his choice of colors, based on the minimal use of saturated hues and on his vintage finish.

Eduardo Recife

Born in Minas Gerais, Eduardo Recife is known for his site “Misprinted Type”, available online since 1998. Considered a reference of style, Recife uses old photographs in his collages, which lends his work an aesthetic aspect of vintage advertising, in contrast to the social criticism expressed in his compositions.

Despite using the computer as a tool, he conceives his work in an analog form and, from texture, stains and scratches, recreates the concept of time in the careful completion of his images. Typography is one of the highlights of his work, combined with other elements as well as a way of creation of his own sources. Eduardo lives and works in Belo Horizonte.

Olka Osadzinska

The Polish artist Olka Osadzińska graduated in Science of Culture from the University of Warsaw. Self-taught in art, Olka has never taken design lessons. Her inspirations stem from her cosmopolitan life, her trips through different countries, and her fascination for different cultures. Her illustrations usually have a starting point at the photos shot by herself or by her friends, in provocative and sensual scenes. Both her paintings and digital illustration disclose a joyful realism which uncovers an anthropological picture, drawing a fine line between the glory and the vulgarity of a global behavior.

Olaf Hajek

Born in northern Germany, Olaf Hajek was raised and educated in Holland. His works illustrate the influence of ancient Native Art in experiments with textures, in the absence of realism and in the proportion of the elements. Flowers of various species are recurrent in his paintings, as well as trees, animals and insects. Blending with that, human figures of rare, complex and intriguing beauty fulfill this fantastic universe created by the artist.

Linn Olofsdotter

Linn Olofsdotter, from Sweden, has made many experiments before setting her career in the field of illustration. After studying in Europe and the United States, Linn moved to Brazil where she opened an animation studio with her husband and partner, Nando Costa. Later on, the two moved back to the United States in order to develop their careers. Her organic style, with a fluid and delicate trace, shows complex forms and female characters in harmony with a dreamlike nature. Linn currently lives and works in Portland, USA.

Nando Costa

Nando Costa is a multidisciplinary artist. Born in Rio de Janeiro, from a family of artists, he early started showing interest in drawing. After college, he moved to the United States and there got into contact with the world of animation. As a director, his experience is extensive and diversified. His varied techniques make him one of the most versatile artists of the market. As an illustrator, his work is fluid and delicate. Costa chooses his colors carefully, and his shapes are endowed with light and shade in organic contours that contrast with the digital tools used to create his compositions. Nando Costa lives and works in Portland, USA.

Niark1

Artist Sebastien Feraut, also known as Niark1, presents his work in a mysterious universe of fantastic creatures and bizarre beings. Influenced by graphic desgin, videogames and the street culture of Paris, where he lives and works, Niark uses simple shapes and a limited palette of colors in each image. His creativity is also applicable to typography, to produce his own types, in composition with other elements. Despite using digital tools in most of his work, he shows the same ability at painting his canvases, as well as pasting posters and stickers on the streets.

Viti

Artist Victor Grosman has been developing over the years a copyright work that captivates for its genuineness and visual repertoire. Currently based in Florianopolis, a quick glance at Viti’s work is enough to realize how much his work is influenced by that surrounding environment. Myths and characters from the island folklore, as mermaids, pirates and enchanted animals, are recurrent in his work. His street paintings contrast with the traditional urban setting, and find room in the house of fishermen, boats and wooden sheds. Based on pop art and naïf references, Viti offers a contemporary approach of the local imaginary of the city he has chosen to live.

Trampo

Trampo is one of the pioneers of graffiti in Brazil, and has been one of the most active artists in this area. Mainly influenced by the Brazilian culture, from the metropolis to the native Indian tribes, Tampo’s works show a singular visual poetry, sometimes symbolic and experimental, at other times more metaphorical, but always appropriate to the environment in which they are inserted.

Well known for his social work, Trampo became a reference of urban art in Porto Alegre, where he can be seen working as a volunteer in workshops for children in poor communities as well as teaching in Universities. His movement through different art medium is evident in his work and in the multiplicity of his art application. Taking art to where people are is his main objective, either painting in the streets or taking part in special projects.

Fernando Chamarelli

Fernando Chamarelli‘s works can be defined by his firm and accurate strokes that generate geometric shapes of remarkable beauty and significance. Originally from Penápolis, the artist currently lives in Baurú, always in the country side of the São Paulo State. Despite of that fact, was on the pre-Columbian cultures that he found his most influential references.

Symbols, legends and traditions of ancient civilizations mingle with his contemporary approach, in which images with a multitude of elements, composed by harmonious forms and striking colors, reveal mystical characters that inhabit the lighthearted universe created by the artist.

Nina Moraes

The work of artist Nina Moraes exposes a playful female universe where creatures are shown in contrasting manners: delicate and aggressive, simple and mysterious, human and bestial. One of the major features of her work is the use of the line, which Nina uses to translate, in a simple way, the deep feelings that her compositions convey. In her large paintings in the streets, many times, line give way to filling, ensuring greater visibility to her characters in the midst of the urban chaos. Born in Pelotas, Nina currently lives and works in Porto Alegre.

Gus Bozzetti

Gus Bozzetti was born in Rio Grande, but moved to Porto Alegre in his childhood. As his older brothers worked with advertising, this was an obvious track for him to follow from an early age. It was while working at the library of his brother’s agency, however, that his passion for arts and specially design started. Later on, he quit advertising, and graduated in History and Arts. Despite often approaching style and the feminine sensuality, his drawings also explore dark feelings, perceptible in the features of his characters.

Rodrigo Careca

Rodrigo Careca had his first contact with the street culture through skateboarding, at 15. A year later, he was already doing his own graffitis.  Rodrigo works with different medium and techniques, currently devoting himself to a thorough project in the production of mandalas, where the rich detail and choice of colors compose hypnotic striking images, especially in the street context. However, he does not limit his work to this topic, taking the same liveliness to his characters and more abstract compositions. Careca lives and works in Porto Alegre.

Pirecco

Pirecco has worked as art director in advertising agencies, design studios and for different brands in the fashion industry. All that experience reflects the strength of his compositions in pen, ink or digital work.

Pirecco possesses a singular rhythm in which a profusion of elements, colors and characters find balance and relevance in the middle of chaos. He mixes current references to the old school side of street art, which is why his work has been recognized and exposed in art galleries in Brazil and abroad.

Emerson Pingarilho

Born in southern Brazil, Emerson Pingarilho grew up in Manaus. He developed his work based on his experiences between the metropolis and the jungle, approaching anthropophagic and Amazonian myths.

Be it either ink or painting, his compositions are always intense and visceral, graphic in forms and colors and filled with intriguing and provocative symbolism. Multi-disciplinary artist Pingarilho currently lives in Sao Paulo, devoted to drawing, painting, as well as to music and movie production.

Wagner Pinto

Wagner Pinto’s work presents an abstract syncretism, in which the artist's spirituality reflects a style full of hidden symbols and organic textures. An enduring look will steer the perception to a symbolic universe that goes beyond shapes and colors. Working with different techniques and medium, his most recent banners are sewn with applications of ribbons, beads, whelks and other typical religious artifacts. Wagner has been exhibiting regularly in different countries to audiences that find these shows an opportunity to observe such universe at the same time enigmatic and provocative in its abstraction, but pop and graphic in its aesthetics.

Lu�sa Ritter

The works of artist Luísa Ritter depict scenes that resonate in the imagination of many people, for their aspects of everyday family life. Personal recollections, old family photos and time souvenirs merge with a visual aesthetic aspect, of expressive brushwork, in compositions where shapes and colors, as well as memories, range over different levels of details, precision and intensity.

Those who contemplate her works are somehow touched by such familiarity as strange as delicate. Currently living and working in São Paulo, Luísa Ritter regularly participates in exhibitions and has had her work shown in several publications.

Diego Medina

Diego Medina began illustrating professionally in 1999. In the early 2000s, while living in São Paulo, he worked as an illustrator for newspapers and magazines of general circulation. Over the years he expanded his field of expertise, becoming a relevant person in the art scene, working on short films and TV commercials. Medina is also a talented musician, singer and guitarist.

Transiting through typography, illustration and design he developed his style of shapes flowing with doses of psychedelic, scatology and cartooning, presented in an unusual and ironic way. Imaginary characters in explosive colors from a provocative pop universe invite the eyes to a tour through the most creative and disturbing side of this artist’s work. Medina lives and works in Porto Alegre.

Fernanda Cohen

Fernanda Cohen grew up in Buenos Aires but she moved to New York at the turn of the century to study illustration at the School of Visual Arts. Since then, her work as an artist and illustrator has received numerous awards around the world.

Having designed for brands and publications from the American and European market, Fernanda is the owner of a very peculiar universe, in which she humorously and passionately contrasts innocence and lust, emphasizing the female figure and nudity as a way of natural and positive expression.

Carmen Huerta

Carmen Huerta was born in Madrid, where she still lives and works. Graduated in Advertising, she began to illustrate for the fashion editorial market in 2001. Having developed a unique and sophisticated style, Carmen’s technique and creativity of working on shape and volume result in elegant and provocative illustrations.

The subtleness in the way she shows her characters and elements, making them desirable, has drawn attention to her work, and brought projects for major fashion and beauty brands from the European market to her curriculum.
